France Painting Collection - From the 16th Century through the 1st half of the 19th Century

A hardback book cataloging through pictures and descriptions the extensive collection of French paintings from the 16th to the mid-nineteenth centuries that are held in the State Pushkin Museum in Moscow, Russia. Their full treasury of old French masters includes 460 paintings, with nearly 300 canvases from this era.

This is a 2005 English translation of the original publication from 1979. This English edition was translated and published in association with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston TX, and The Foundation of International Arts and Education, funded by a grant from Caroline Weiss law Life Trustee of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston TX.
